The Austrian Federal Government commits itself to ambitious climate policies, where climate protection measures are taken which have also positive effects on many other targets. Thus the reduction of the use of fossil fuels leads for example to a lower level of air pollutants, the promotion of environmental technologies opens up new export opportunities, the use of domestic, renewable sources of energy helps to reduce the dependence on imports with respect to fuels and, last but not least, all measures contribute to the creation of new jobs. > more about: Ambitious climate policy and careful way of dealing with nature

A secure supply with wholesome food, the sustainable conservation of nature and the landscape, and the provision of energy from sustainable resources are key tasks of domestic agriculture.
